My head's stuck in the clouds, [he] begs me to come down, says "[Girl], quit foolin' around."
My Shiny Teeth and Me by Chip Skylark
This man comes into my job almost every day with a free frosty coupon. He’s homeless, and he’s also of the nicest homeless people that come here. He just made me want to hug him when I saw him mixing ice in what was left of his frosty, just to have a bit more. Smh, I’m giving him another free one. This is saddening me, seriously. I went up to him and offered him one, he smiled and said “naahh” I said you sure? Is there anything I can help you with? He laughed and shook his head in a polite way. One of the most humble people to come through here… Every other one is usually rude, and angry. But this man still keeps his joy. This tells me I should never have a reason to frown, if he can still manage to smile.

Soft box: diffuses light, makes shadows appear lighter
MOD stands for modelling light, we’re only going to be using that for the project.
Soft box should be the only light source on the container. Place it above, towards, and facing the container
Piece of foam is a reflector, need assistant to hold. Goes on the opposite side of the soft box. Fill the frame of the beverage container (making the background all white)
Setting up tripod:
-loosen up the locks, loosen legs. Head should be low. Make sure to level tripod. (Bubble in centre)
Camera:
-Has to be on MANUAL (M) exposure.
-For the lens, it has to be on AF (auto focus).
- Portrait, use the lock under camera to lift it up
Tethering:
- connect cable to computer, go to EOS utility, remote shooting, doesn’t work if camera is NOT ON
- click to take picture, exposure etc. is ON THE COMPUTER
- under tool>Remote Live View Shooting
- Histogram: if exposure is correct, most of the white lines should be in the MIDDLE
- aperture: as smaller as possible (for this camera, it is 1/5.6), affects depth of field (area of focus)
- shutter speed: 1/60 sec. (changes with exposure) You want good detail, looking for highlights and lowlights
- Focus button: allows you to focus on one part of an object
- Tungsten Light (White Balance): autocorrects to make it look like daylight
Alluring Les Paul Guitar-Inspired Swimming Pool
This amazing swimming pool shaped like a guitar proved to be a challenge for its designers and builders – Canadian Aqua-Tech Company. Their client, a passionate guitar collector who walked in their office looking for a hot tub, had a sudden change of heart and approached them with an odd, yet interesting idea. Wanting a guitar-shaped swimming pool in his backyard, the client was presented with an exact replica of a Les Paul Custom guitar – shaped in fine details and exemplary displaying creativity in design and construction. Measuring 19 meters long, the inspiring swimming pool is unique – imagine how the owner and his wife feel every time they dive in. Blue water makes the vinyl-lined pool dance with each movement and create a blurred, dynamic effect. Equipped with two sets of stairs, the undulating design proves to be a bold and creative addition to a guitar collector’s backyard.
